Finding myself wanting to knit ALL the socks earlier this year, I have always wanted a bag that I could put everything I needed in and be able to see it all, and not have to pull everything out to get my hands moving.  I found the fantastic pattern for the On The Go Pouch by SewFisticated Craft Designs.  After making a set, I started using the largest size (which I call The Rooster) for my TAAT socks.  Perfect! The two smaller sizes became very handy as well…The Hen is great for smaller projects, such as single socks, hats, mittens and such, and The Chick is perfect for a quick errand, holding phone, small wallet, keys and a couple of essentials!  Makes a great notions bag too! Again, I like that I can open it up and SEE everything without digging around.  They nest perfectly together for storage.  That picture of the stuffed Rooster?  It has 2 100g sock yarn cakes, 1 50g cake, two socks in progress, my Thread and Maple project page (highly suggest!) my notebook, sock ruler, snips, counter, extra DPNs, darning needles, notions tin,hand balm, and my Katrinkles how to cards, PLUS my neck light! Still room for a protein bar in there…

The Rooster-Measures approximately 9 3/4″ wide, 6″ tall, and 6 3/4″ deep (front to back).  Includes a mesh zippered top flap pocket, and four mesh slip pockets on the inside.  Also has a D ring inside for keeping those little things handy.  Foam interfaced for a little extra stability, but still perfectly squishable.

The Hen– Measures approximately 7 1/2″ wide, 4 1/2″ tall, and 5″ deep.  Includes a mesh or clear vinyl zippered top flap pocket and interior D ring.

The Chick-Measures approximately 6 1/4″ wide, 3 1/2″ tall, and 3 1/2″ deep.  Includes interior D ring.

Some versions have clear vinyl upper pockets. I didn’t love these, so I didn’t continue the clear vinyl on the others. See individual descriptions.
